Summerhill is a renovation and 3 storey addition to an existing semi-detached home. A new detached garage was also built to replace an existing one. An addition provides more space at the rear of the house. The design also introduces as much light as possible into the centre of the house by way of a skylight above the stair. Open risers on a steel monostringer stair filter the light down through the home. An underpinned basement provides more comfortable ceiling height, while an open ground floor plan makes the house feel spacious.
